- Play conservative. Try to ride it out and let people take each other out at the table unless you have a solid hand from the flop. In that case play agressive and try to take down a big pot then go right back to conservative mode. This is of course if you playing a tournement game. Then once you narrow down the players you can play more aggressively.
- Each player must come up with their own set which really depends on you and usually it's through learning from pain :) I don't usually drink when I play but I can play well with a few drinks but a lot of people can't. For me it's not staying at a table I don't like and this is probably the biggest mistake players make. Get the heck out of there if you don't feel good about it even if it takes a while to get another seat. King Cobra Poker http://kingcobrapoker.com

- Generally I play a tight-agressive game. I don't drink, so that is not a problem. I play tournaments these days almost exclusively, usually MTT, but sometimes SNG, so I limit my buyins to no more than about 5% of my gambling stake. Also I try to be polite and friendly at the table. The most important part of my game is maintaining a positive attitude while playing. I have found this to be effective in play. Other players that try to read me find it a bit harder to do, since I provide a consistent image. It does help. Good luck at the tables.
- I do, and most of my rules center around bankroll management and when to play. Here are my rules, set out in commandment style. Thou shalt not buy into a MTT for more than 2% of your bankroll. Thou shalt not buy into a single table s'n'g or ring game for more than 5% of your bankroll. Thou shalt not buy into a game if you are feeling angry, tired, or depressed. Thou shalt not drink and play cards, unless it's a friendly home game where the goal is to socialize instead of win money. Thou shalt not go all in on a flush draw. Thou shall divvy up thy profits with thy wife.
